Today, Ivee is proud to announce acceptance to the highly coveted Plug and Play Accelerator program, Batch XII. The 90-day accelerator pairs corporate innovation sponsors, mentors, and venture investors with the world’s top start-ups. Previous companies who have participated include Dropbox, Paypal, Lending Club, Honey, and Rappi.

“With a 2% acceptance rate in Plug and Play’s cohort, we are very proud to be selected,” said Alex Giannikoulis, Founder & CEO of Ivee. “Plug and Play’s views of the future of marketing and their recognition of Ivee’s work for the in-vehicle experience speaks volumes for us. The accelerator’s already provided us with valuable connections to progressive marketers and potential pilot opportunities.”

Ivee’s selection this year came from a review from Plug and Play’s corporate sponsors including Walmart, Levi’s, Synchrony Financial, The Coca-Cola Company, and more. To qualify, startups must be taking creative approaches to solving future problems for the Brand & Retail vertical. Select qualified startups received a screening review from Plug and Play’s venture team. And then, a small group of startups was invited to pitch to Plug and Play’s corporate sponsors for Selection Day in Sunnyvale.

“In Plug and Play Brand & Retail Batch XII, our brand and retail partners know that discovery and purchase happens not just in the store but constantly whether with voice at home or when ride-sharing. Ivee has taken a unique approach to making rides better for both passengers and brands,” said Will Decker, Plug and Play’s VP and Head of Brand & Retail. “They have a keen understanding of the opportunities in the passenger economy and how brands can benefit from Mobility as a Service.”

Since launching its first ride experiences in the fall of 2018, Ivee has been creating ways to improve the passenger experience on ride-hailing networks, including a cafe, spa, and karaoke studio on wheels. By combining physical and digital elements, Ivee creates ways to make rides more rewarding, entertaining, and relaxing.
